Good Afternoon All,

A total of 20 participants enjoyed the second annual PFN/OFO Port Weller East Trip earlier today. The group observed 32 species while on the East Spit in Port Weller, St. Catharines.

Highlights included Glaucous Gull (observed in the Welland Canal), Snow Buntings (4 observed at the end of the east pier), 10 Red-throated Loons, White-winged Scoter, Black Scoter, Great Blue Heron and an adult Bald Eagle observed by a few at the end of the trip.

Thanks to all that participated and pointed out some great birds.

And thanks to Jean Hampson, Carol Horvat, Doug Gillard and Phil Downey for assisting with the field trip.

Best Regards,

Bob
