Multiple observers are reporting the Variegated Flycatcher along the Brooklin Lions Wilderness Trail is present again this morning as of 0745 November 17.
Directions: Brooklin is in the north end of Whitby. From the intersection of County Rd 12 (Baldwin Street) and Hwy 7 (which becomes County Rd 3/Winchester Rd to the east) go east for about 500 m to the Luther Vipond Memorial Arena. Parking is available here. Walk south towards the large white communications tower turning west (right) after the tennis courts and skate park. There is a trail immediately west of here that goes over a short wooden bridge. Follow this trail for about 400 m when it opens up a bit and there is a bench. The flycatcher spent most of yesterday in this general area, sometimes moving up the slope on the east side of the trail, visible from the field on the other side.
