Weather: Temps ranged from 9C to 18C. Winds shifted from N to WNW across the day. Cloud cover built a bit throughout the day, but there's was always some sun somewhere. Raptor Observations: Disappointing numbers given the favorable wind direction, but fairly good variety -- most notably, a Black Vulture that passed by in front of many observers at 1212pm EST. Record photos were taken. Non-raptor Observations: Lots of non-raptors occupied attention during raptor dry spells, including at least 9 species of warblers. eBird list here: https://ebird.org/checklist/S197299715 Predictions: Moderate SW is forecast throughout the day Thursday, which will hopefully bring in Peregrines and other updraft-loving raptors along the cliff edge. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Chris Burris ([email protected]) Hawk Cliff Hawkwatch information may be found at: http://www.ezlink.ca/~thebrowns/HawkCliff/index.htm More site information at hawkcount.org: https://hawkcount.org/siteinfo.php?rsite=392 -- Ontbirds and Birdnews are moderated email Listservs provided by the Ontario Field Ornithologists (OFO) as a service to all birders in Ontario.
