Unconsciously World Music has created by the Western which the
result of the Eastern culture’s explorations. The heritage of ethnic music in
Asia like India, Pakistan, Japan, Tibet, China and Indonesia has became the
inspiration in the creation of World Music, and for outside Asia is Africa. Its
rich the Indonesian music ethnic which forgotten by the local people itself.
When the modern music become popular in Western countries, almost all countries
including Indonesia followed it. This moment World Music also become the icon
between culture and modernization. Western countries whose less of an ethnic
music can create a new competition between ethnic and modern with harmoniously
by adopting few ethnic music in Asia-Africa.
It is fortunate when the Indonesian young generation has abandon
their own culture, meanwhile the Western has explored the Eastern culture to
create an entertainment exclusively and spectacular. Its time for us to show
the existence of our culture which rich into a spectacular performance through
the mix of harmonious and beautifully in every music composition.
Malacca Ensembleis a group of
music ethnic which leads by Hendri
Lamiri and consist of senior musicians in Indonesia and composers from
different composition of instruments, which will bring color into music ethnic
of Indonesia richly through the mixed of modern music. Ethnic music and local
music wrapped in the collaboration of modern instruments to created a beautiful
and harmonious composition. Beauty of
Indonesia is the first step of Malacca
Ensemble in promotion together with Indonesian musicians to create without
abandoning the ethnic music of Indonesia, also introducing the Indonesian
ethnic music to the International world.
