I noticed that the output of "make check" ended with this text: PASS: test ================== All 1 tests passed ================== because "make check" finished up with examples/calc++, which has one test. This is a little disconcerting, since Bison has a lot more than one test. Akim, did you intend to add that test case in a different directory?
Yep, I did, that seems the best place. Actually I would like this directory to drop Automake so that it can be installed completely and used as a self-content example. But work is still needed. I used that order to be sure the fake tests/bison was built, but the Makefile will have to handle this. Maybe the top level Makefile should? I don't want the install Makefile to be cluttered with these details. The installation rules can be taylored too.
