If the soft link is relative and it point to a file/folder inside the snapshot that is can be nice to browse/open it. If it is outside I may look like it is inside ... so this is bad. OK, if the link is inside the snapshot (and it is not broken) the user should be able to open/browse it. If not it should be displayed as broken (and disable browse/open).
