OK. Messing with Bennie aside, no, I *really* don't want an object to ever
transition from RO to RW from the perspective of the runtime. The whole
point of keeping track of RO objects was to avoid heavyweight read barriers
on such objects. If the object can *ever* go from RO to RW, you can't do
that anymore. Or at least you can't do it without running a major
collection first.
