Hello everyone..

I have been looking around the bitC website, code repository, mailing list,
eros-os website, coyotos website and repository, and I even found the
recent bitc-ng git repository..

But I still can't figure out the current status of bitC.

Here is a summary of my findings:

- BitC website (http://www.bitc-lang.org/): copyright and news 2010.
Nothing on the status of the project.

- BitC code repository (http://dev.eros-os.com/hg/): last commit on 2011.

- bitc-dev mailing list (http://www.coyotos.org/pipermail/bitc-dev/): alive
and well! This is what got me confused. There seems to be a lot of
discussion going on, but it's not clear whether that discussion pertains to
a specific code base.

- bitc-ng code repistory (http://dev.eros-os.com/git): actively updated,
but not referenced or described anywhere that I could find - so I'm not
sure what this is.

- The "Retrospective Thoughts on BitC" post on the bitc-dev mailing list on
March 2012 (http://www.coyotos.org/pipermail/bitc-dev/2012-March/003300.html):
such a significant point in the history of bitc, so very well buried! Not
referenced anywhere on the website, nor does it end the discussion on the
mailing list! Now I'm really confused.

So, my questions are:

1. Is BitC still being maintained in any capacity?
2. Is BitC at all usable in its current shape? any known limitations?
3. Does BitC have potential to be further developed?
4. Is there a successor to BitC?
