I haven't fallen into a black hole - honest. What happened was that I started trying to capture the BitC spec, and ran afoul *yet again* of the limitations of blog/CMS technology. Then winter break hit, and I decided that as much as all of you are such fine and upstanding people, I wanted to spend some project time with my son. We built most of a 3D printer (the parts they forgot to send should arrive any day) and also a mildly interesting woodworking table that I'm just wrapping up.
Back to BitC: I wanted to get the working draft captured someplace where we could comment on it collectively, which sort of suggested a blog of some form. I definitely want to be able to include type rules in the document, which means using something that can handle MathJax. Enter the demon IFRAME from hell. IFRAMEs and MathJax don't play nicely together unless the blogging software supports MathJax explicitly (which the big ones don't). Google docs doesn't have any good way to do character styles. What I seem to be left with is wordpress (the .org) version, and I'm scared out of my mind of the security implications. I'm going to bring it up on a VM so I understand how it works. So: still working on that, but making progress. shap
