Got the URL from phil's cms-list. Interesting article, where James
Gosling (Creator of Java), talks about C#. The quoted one-liner is:
"it's sort of Java with reliability, productivity and security deleted."

-- Side story that a bunch of you probably know, but I didn't so i'm
sharing it. --

In an interesting side note, Gosling takes credit for creating Emacs and
it's popularity with developers. I had no idea that Gosling had anything
to do with Emacs, so i checked into it a little further, and it turns out
that in fact, he did produce the Emacs that GNU Emacs is based on.

It also turns out that Gosling is directly responsible for the creation of
the GPL, though unintentionally.

Gosling did not invent Emacs, the first Emacs was written by Richard
Stallman in 1976 using PDP-10 Assembly. Gosling was the first one to
re-write Emacs using C. (called Gosling Emacs in 1981) here's a
timeline:
  http://www.jwz.org/doc/emacs-timeline.html

After that there is this fascinating story about how Stallman made a bunch
of improvements to Gosling Emacs thinking it was free software, Gosling
decided to sell it to UniPress who then told Stallman that he had to stop
giving it away for free. This pissed of Stallman, and he created the GPL.

The whole story is available here:

Along with Stallman's opinion of Gosling:
"My later dealings with him personally showed that he was every bit as
cowardly and despicable as you would expect from that history"
