Tim,
We're using Asterisk in our business. Not all operations have been moved
over but we have 2 main operations on it.

2 Asterisk servers, Polycom 501's 301's and Sipura 2000's
How are you getting
your external lines? T1? Wholesale SIP? Analog?
Analog & Wholesale SIP for DID's no T1's
What kind of results, ie. quality and reliability have you seen.
Have had some issues. We tried Sipura841 as desk phones, they're not biz
class at all, so they are relegated to seldom used positions ( Computer
Room, lunch room ). Very happy with the Polycoms just a bugger to
initially configure.
On DID's have had a few issues. Provider equip down , someone severed
their fibre. Not much you can do there.
On LD, have had some issues, best recommendation is to have active
accounts with more then one provider, so if something is down can easily
stay operational. We've had some specific issues most users wouldn't
encounter, which is DTMF tones during established calls.
I have customers asking about other businesses using IP voice, but honestly
don't know of any.
We're averaging about 45,000 minutes a month of traffic, so using it
quite a bit.
Thanks
-Tim
