Henry,

If you would like some numbers to back up your statement: Just ask!

If you consider 300 up and running IP PBX systems in 45 days of the launch
of trixbox Pro as impressive as I do then the stats speak for them selves.

If you would like more, again please feel free to ask.

I'm sorry had no intention of insulting you.

If you want to get an idea of the Asterisk base then I suggest you look at
the Fonality website(to start) . They have a world wide Asterisk based
software solution that they support. From Australia to Zambia people are
installing Asterisk based systems for their own use or like me are
installing it for their clients. I think that we are all past the point of
defending this fantastic open source software. As for my client base, I am
afraid thats my business, however I do have a Case Study that you can find
on the Taug website.
The TAUG group has about 300 members and is probably the largest Asterisk
group in the world. We are lucky to have some members who have authored
books on Asterisk and others who have many years of telecommunications and
IT experience. We are always sensitive to new subscribers/members
questions
as we have all been in the same position at one time or another.
Just to kick-off, if your background is in programing then download Asterisk
and start asking questions, if you are like me and you need instant
gratification then download "Trixbox" and start making calls.
Good Luck
