I am looking for asterisk or trixbox backup that will work on different
hardware. What would be the good approach for this?
Any suggestion is appreciated.

Thanks,
Richard

If your looking for an iso type backup, look here:
http://www.script-trix.us/backups.htm , it will do a full backup using MONDO
(www.mondorescue.org) and package it as an ISO and ftp it to a ftp server.

Big issue with an iso type backup is possible hardware differences, and this
is for a bare metal restore, so you need to be there to do the install.

Hello world,

So we have a VoIP server in Miami that we lease and have been using
for the last few years for our VoIP needs. However, recently since we
have moved to a new office with a static IP and fast internet - we
have decided to move it closer to home.

Problem is we do not want to re-setup everything from scratch
(Asterisk 1.2, FreePBX, MySQL, record files, crazy rules, and IVR
prompts) as that by itself would take weeks.

So my question is = is it possible to move it all in some kind of ISO
file from our Miami server to our Montreal server, and how it would be
possible to do so.
