I agree 100%.  I just wanted to point out that it usually works after the
expiration date.  No need to renew it with NS, if you can do a transfer even
after it has expired.  After all, I'm sure now and then some of us let
domains expire by mistake.  I personally have close to 100 and sometimes one
will slip through the cracks.......:)
