Though it's been discussed to length previously, I think is time OpenSRS
revises its pricing structure downward to accommodate market realities.
If other registrars can manage charging the END USER $8.95 (with all the
high costs associated in reaching those end users), there is no reason
why OpenSRS can give us resellers a price closer to $8. Coming from
Tucows -which has traditionally been known as an open source heaven, and
provided the low cost of acquiring us resellers, there must be a way for
them to better compete and dominate the market while helping us all.

Last week we had a heated discussion in our company regarding the
possible switch from OpenSRS to Godaddy.com, since they'd charge us much
less than OSRS and their interface is as good as or superior... we
stayed course mainly because we believe in long-term relationships, but
I'm not sure next time around I'd be as willing to defend a good partner
who is too blind and deaf to the market it serves.
