MySQL GUI utility

Is there any MySQL guru out there. I have a cobalt RaQ4, I have just installed MySQL 
on it.  I will like a GUI utility for creating and managing databases. I was going to 
install PHPMyadmin but I  friend advised me against PHPMyadmin because of the security 
risk associated with it.
Has anyone got an alternative and possible a quote for installing it on my RaQ for me?
