Dear michael,
Sunday night's Olympic closing ceremony showed the world united
for a moment. Now the political convention season is upon us.
Wouldn't it be great to see unity in our own nation?
We must show that people of faith are united in believing that
35 million people living in poverty is a moral and religious
issue. Our political debate must address this! We must
articulate social justice as a moral value, or others will
define "values" in much narrower ways.
Sojourners is working with you to make sure your concerns are

In this election year, we have three goals:
1) To inform you, the voter, as you prepare to make a decision
that will change your nation these next four years.
2) To promote our Vote Out Poverty campaign to cut domestic
poverty in half in 10 years and end extreme global poverty.
3) To reach out to the Republican National Committee and the
Democratic National Committee to include the Vote All Your
Values issues in their platforms.
