I am a woman, and I decided I was going to vote for McCain once Hillary dropped out of the race. Why? I am pro-military, being ex air force I am for a strong military and veterans affairs. The republican party has a long history of a pro military stance. The democrats have a long history of not being pro military. The democrats treat the military as victims and not heroes. I believe that McCain will get us out of Iraq when the country is ready for us to leave. I was not for the war, but we are there, so let's get Iraq back on it's feet and then get our men and women of uniform home. I believe that McCain's economic plan will spur the economy more than Obama's. Stimulating businesses makes more sense for stimulating jobs than just giving tax breaks to us and taxing businesses more. I think Obama is running for POTUS 4 years too soon. He has no record on which he can run on, and his speeches, while amazing, are empty. He gives us no direction except for "change". I am also have been disturbed by Obama's acquaintances with Bill Ayres and Rev Wright. Bill Ayres is an unrepentant terrorist who's group was responsible for bombs at the Pentagon and the death of policemen. He came out as late as 2001 after Sept 11th to say his group did not go far enough with the bombings. To befriend a man who is a traitor to his country is unforgivable. I also refuse to believe he sat in those pews for 20 years and never heard Rev Wright's views. Is Palin perfect? No of course not, but she is a hunter and there are no better conservationists out there than outdoorsmen. She is pro energy for America which is what we need. The bridge to nowhere was voted for by Obama and Biden so you can't throw stones through that glasshouse. I am all for a woman's right to choose, but I also think personal responsibility must come into the picture also. Education on birth control and family planning, and availability to birth control. In this climate we need a strong leader who will help lead us out of our foreign oil dependence and build a strong economy at home, while protecting us from foreign threats. I believe that McCain is that man and that Sarah Palin will make a great VP who will help lead this country into a better tomorrow.
