There are no "how to" books specific to blackbellies or hair sheep. There are a lot of research articles. You can see a full list of publications about blackbellies at my site at http://www.critterhaven.biz/index.html. Also on that page is a link to books that I recommend having on your shelf. The trick is separating the good principals of sheep management (e.g., copper is toxic) from principals that apply mainly to wool sheep (how to shear; flushing and other seasonal breeding strategies). I think it is always a good idea to be aware of possible birthing complications and various sheep diseases because eventually, you will run across these things in your own hair sheep flock.

and I'm sure just as they look different, there must be some differences in care/management.
