Subject: [blackbelly] New lambs
Thanks for all the responses. I have basically done what
was suggested. I was unable to get the colostrum in time to get the lambs
within the first 24 hours after birth. One of the lambs is doing great.
Gaining weight jumbing and doing all the things a young lamb should do. The
other is only laying around and still weak at the knees. Does not suckle
hardly at all. Also seems to grind its teeth. I will call a vet and see if
there are ant additives I can put in the lamb, milk replacer. Seems to me
this little rascal need more vitamins or something to get it
kick-started. I have the ewe and both lambs separated from the herd, in a
covered pin. Any suggestions. Thanks again Jim Fallis Palmer,
