Talk about donkey/ram dislikes--my donkey does a marvelous job caring for my dozen Barbado (notice I've not used the "wrong" term--Barbados Blackbelly!), and everyone gets along well now. But, with the previous (horned) ram I had, they did not like each other. The ram kept trying to butt the donkey, until the donkey caught him one day when he wasn't paying attention and picked him right up off the ground and shook him silly. He stayed away from her after that.

Sandy, I have not personally had this type of experience, but I have heard from several sheep/goat acquaintances that this DOES happen - can happen with a donkey guardian as well, and generally it is the ram they take a dislike to.
