Join us November 14 - 16, 2003 for the next Kent Herbel Herding Clinic and Private Lessons to be held in southern Illinois. The clinics and lessons are held at a small farm in orchard country just outside of Cobden, IL (90 miles southeast of St. Louis). The cost is $150.00 for the two-day clinic (Sat. and Sun.) and $50.00 for a one-hour private lesson (on Friday). The spectator fee (for the Sat./Sun. clinic) is $10.00 per day (no spectator dogs, please). There is a $10.00 per day discount on the Saturday/Sunday clinic for registrations postmarked by October 14th. The Entry Form is below, between the two sets of * * * * * stars.
The Saturday/Sunday clinic has a 12-dog limit. Working slots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
The stock are dog-broke Barbados sheep. There are three working areas: a 70 x 85 foot oval herding pen, a 100 x 200 foot arena with trial course obstacles, and a 4.5 acre field with course obstacles. Each dog will be worked twice per day during the clinic. Lunch is included in the clinic fee. There are motels, RV campgrounds and cabins within 10 minutes of the farm (a list is available upon request), and camping (no hookups) is available on the premises.
