Hello Danita,

Thank you for your response.  I am the editor of Blackbelly Barbados Sheep Association International Newsletter.  We have a newsletter published bi-yearly.  The last issue published was this month.  The next issue will be published in April and articles for that issue are due by March 15, 2004.

If you and your son are willing, I would like to get more information from you so I can publish an article about your son’s experience at the show and find out more about the project he did.  I would also like to inform our members about him winning reserve champion at the show.

I am also looking for more stories like this.  Also I am trying to see how Barbados Blackbelly can be more involved with 4-h, FFA and other groups.

So not to tie up this list, you or anyone can email me at [EMAIL PROTECTED].

Thank you for your response and I am looking forward to hearing from you and others dealing with this breed.

Subject: [blackbelly] Shows and/or Youth involvement with Blackbelly

Hi:

My son showed a Barbados Blackbelly in the open sheep show and did a project about purebred sheep.  He won reserve champion for the show and first place on his record keeping book.  This was through 4-H and the show was the local county fair.
