Hello Dori,
I would like to clarify what I wrote. I wrote: “If I am not mistaken you have the Barbados Blackbelly sheep and the Barbado sheep. Dealing with the Barbados Blackbelly sheep, both sexes are polled.”
When I said “you have” I was not referring to specifically you, I should have stated “there are”. If you (Dori) have horned stock, even though you might have some stock that is polled but they are still called Barbado. Barbados Blackbelly sheep are ALL polled. No horned in there bloodline. Coloring is also a factor but the first email I was only talking about the horns as the issue.
I think the Barbado are a much more beautiful animal than the Barbados Blackbelly sheep because of their horns. Since I deal with rare breeds I am raising only the Barbados Blackbelly sheep.
Sorry for the mix up. I usually make about 100 mistakes a day and that was the first for the day…I think. Also it looks like I am still learning how to speak, express one self and write…smile
Hope you have time to look at both websites.
