Good question. The local want/sale ads mag has them
all the time, other day it was 1 adult ram, 11 adult
ewes and 10 lambs for $600. Breaks down to $27.27 a
head, maybe some people figure it's easier to turn
them loose than haul them to the sale barn 2 hours
away. Or maybe they just get loose and no one can
catch them, who knows? This area has coyotes, bobcats,
wild hogs, and lots of feral dogs, it's a wonder they
stay alive more than a few days.

We've been chasing two for a month, just caught one
ram this weekend. He's a TALL one, half curl on his
horns, didn't mouth him to guess age. Beautiful
color, not a white spot on him. The other is older,
and a lot wilder.
