Especially given the characteristics of these sheep.....and breed origin. ;-) >From what I've read the original BBS were imported to Maryland and Texas did the breed mixing with Rambouillet and Mouflon. I also read on the island of Barbados the sheep are simply called Blackbelly. So, apparently the importers added Barbados to indicate their origin.
