Um, is this a test? <VBG!> Based on my limited understanding of the
difference (polled vs horned) they must be Barbado, as they are from,
and are, horned/scurred stock. The BBSAI registry certificates don't
seem to differentiate, except for the H at the end of the sire's
registry number. I promise to keep doing my homework, so I can catch
up to the rest of you, and do a credible service to the breed.

Thank you for the warm welcome, and for the tips on finding sheep for
sale. It didn't occur to me to check the website. I have a bit of work
to do to prepare for a ram, but this will give me an opportunity to
study more, and hopefully make a better informed selection. I am no
stranger to the experience of being a newcomer to various breeds of
animals, and I willingly shoulder the inevitable learning curve. It
seems a rare opportunity to step into a community of breeders who seem
to essentially be founding a breed standard. It is quite a privilege.
The sheep, as well as their future, fascinate me.

The one ewe that I presently have in residence is a gentle and wise
little thing. She has a presence about her that is very appealing. She
has a ram lamb at her side, and is hopefully bred back. The other ewe I
have coming is from the same gentle flock, and she will be here after
she is exposed to the ram. So it's a very small start, but best to
make haste slowly. Thanks again for the kind welcome, and I'll look
forward to meeting some of you in the future!

Best regards,
Barb Lee
