I lambed out 2500 ewes for 5 years and we turned roughly 200 ewes with Triples and never had much trouble usulay weaned 590 out of 600 so wedidn't supplement them as lambs just feed ewes a little heaver and Had creep for lambs. The morjoty of our ewes had twins, so we feed for twins, and regular if we had quad,s we took the bigst lamb off an graff it to a mother with single or twins. Ther last three years we weaned 235% lamb crop. We had Finn, Suffolk, Hamp, Cloumbia. 1/2 or better finn Rest divided up. Had records on all sheep from day we got them till sold had 4 ewes that were over ten years and had twins or tripiles ever year
I would have picked the smallest one to do this with. You always pick the strong one to tranfere as the have better change holding there own.
