I've got a set of twins born to a first time mom. She's 2 or nearly 2 yrs old (she wasn't born here). I've got the mom & babies separated from the flock, locked in the barn so that I can monitor them more easily. The boy baby was larger at birth.. and still is. When I pick up the babies to check them, I can feel their tummies, but their tummies aren't bulging full like new lamb bellies seem to be.
It seems whenever I'm in the barn, they are both trying to nurse. I see them nursing waaay more than a younger ewe & her single lamb, who is only one week older.

The moms share a stall... have lots of water & hay to munch on... and every couple days I take them out some grain to share.

Should I supplement the moms more? with what? I don't want to bottle raise the babies... but I don't want to lose them either! (I don't reeally think I'm in danger of losing them... but they are never really full.)
