It isn't in our 4-H program. Market lamb is where the kids arn't going to make any money because BB are so small at the age they are shown at. Showmanship is where the child is judged on what he knows about the sheep he is showing...this is a good one for the BB.......then showing breed/breeding sheep show might be a real good place for us to get the BB started, but the child has to show more then one sheep of the same breed. Gee James, if you have a chance come to the annual meeting in Cobdin where I can tell you a lot more about 4-H and showing sheep. :-) Sue Susan Smith Sandoah Achers www.sandoahachers.homestead.com Barbado Sheep (hair breed) Ponies 4-H Projects Public Sales Donkey Rescue and Adoption >From: "James Harper" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >To: "Blackbelly List" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Subject: [blackbelly] 4-H Question >Date: Sat, 10 Jul 2004 15:08:42 -0400 > >Sue Smith and the List, > >Below is the web page for the Virginia State Fair dealing with youth/4-H. >I >have never shown sheep or goats.
