FWD BBBDiana,

I assume it is more individual genetics at work here. Katahdin are, as you
said, a heavier meaty sheep.

We have two Katahdin (not pure, and I suspect have BB genes) & one
BB/Barbado ewe(s), which we then crossed with a BB ram (horned).

What resulted in 3.5 month old offspring was:
The heaviest is the ewe lamb from one Katahdin--nice & full;
Then the ram lamb from the BBs (but it IS a ram);
Then the other ewe lamb cross...but very close to the ram lamb.
