Hello, We are new to the list.We don't know alot about genetics but We raise
Barbado sheep for their beauty as well as their horns. They are fine
friendly sheep. We actually look for ewes with horns to breed our rams to so
the odds are better to get a ram that has good fast growing horns. If we
breed a horned ram to a polled ewe it is possible to come out with a polled
ram as stated. We have probably passed good ewes for our  breeding program
not knowing when we first started that many ewes don't show signs of horns
until they reach about a year or so old and/ or have a lamb. Tom & Nancy
