Goody, it's too bad someone gets their horse banned when it's an
outstanding conformation individual that happened to have the bad
luck to have a white leg up to it's hip.  Arab horses are supposed to
be solid color but paints do crop up. Breeders just usually sell them
without papers.  I heard an expression once that I really like
  "You can't ride the color"    I would rather have a funny marked
horse with great conformation than a solid with cow hocks.  Having
said that I will say I am prejudiced against horses with bald faces.
Letting the crop outs be registered shouldn't hurt the breed because
people still want a solid colored quarter horse and they just won't
breed to the crop outs.  You should see my sheep I have more paints
than solids, as a matter of fact I only have two solids the rest are all
marked like paints.   Mona in VA
