It appears that the best marketing option in my area is to be able to advertise lambs as "natural" or "organically" grown. Has anyone out there tried to unravel the USDA National Organic Program rules (to be "certified") to determine specific do's and don'ts???? It generally indicates (based on my reading) no drugs or hormones except that some vaccines and supplements may be allowed to provide for "good animal health". I just can't figure out which ones. It also appears that wood treated with arsenic compounds is forbidden.
Any information or suggestions would be appreciated.
