Think carefully about wanting to vaccinate for rabies (if there is even a pre exposure vaccine for sheep)! This sheep is in Texas. Several years ago we had a horrible outbreak of rabies in the raccoon, fox, coyote, skunk, and bobcat populations. The health departments did an air drop of rabies vaccine that seemed to control the problem. The rabies outbreak was a direct result of overpopulation of species listed plus some. Nature's way of controling the numbers. Our winter was warm, our spring and summer wet. Let's just hope that all the families come forward that had contact with the sheep! Please do not panic especially if you do not have incidents of rabies in your area. Call your vet. No I am not going to vaccinate my barbados for rabies!!!! And I live in TEXAS.
