I'm wondering what variant traits others have observed in their ABS or Barbado sheep, besides horn sizes.
My ewes grew varying thickness wool coats last Oct/Nov. One twin shed all but some tufts on her hindquarter, yet her sister still has ~75% of her coat she grew last year. She's still slowly shedding! Is this common? The young blackbelly ewe I bought this year has started growing a wooly coat. The katahdin/blackbelly cross has no wool. I know prolificacy seems to be affected too or at least with my sheep. What have others observed?
