I don't know if it was the alignment of the stars or some other planetary
phenomenon, but within 2 days I had inquires from 5 different individuals
looking to purchase my BB lambs (no advertising was involved). Demand
exceeded supply, and now 2 of the buyers now have flocks larger than mine
!!!! I actually sold 2 of my registered Horned breeding ewes that did not
have all the traits I was personally interested in perpetuating in my flock.
One sale involved my first experience in obtaining a health certificate for
interstate transport - on 30 minutes notice!

I'm now shopping for registered/registerable stock (primarily ewes) that
have a Scrapie status of enrolled or higher. Horned or Polled - I'm an equal
opportunity breeder. I'm in south Alabama and would prefer not to have to
transport stock more than a good day drive (500-600 miles). James - now wish
I had tried harder to take you up on your offer for young rams.... hindsight
is 20/20.

There might be a problem, my intact ram lamb grew
quicker then any of the others. he was however a
single lamb.

good luck

hello everyone!

the TX CO OH TX quick trip will start Thursday afternoon - I am trying
to slip into the mountains of Colorado between storms - Saturday looks
like the best day for that - I will be on the road for about a week

the DEC/JAN trip is beginning to 'lock in' a bit - I am targeting the
first Saturday of December as the start date - this is a change from
previous messages - the first loop will be a counterclockwise west coast
loop - the route will be roughly TX UT WA OR CA TX

from there I will make a counterclockwise loop of the east coast - the
route will be roughly TX MS GA up the east coast OH MI TX

from there I don't have enough input yet to know what the route might be

if you want to be part of the DEC/JAN trip I need your information ASAP
- I will be on the road for a week and then will only have 2 weeks to
plan the coast to coast trip - I need pick up city/state, drop off
city/state, and a brief description of the animals for preliminary
planning

please reply to [EMAIL PROTECTED] - I may miss your message if it
goes through the group - keep in mind that I will not be able to reply
to your message until I get home from the quick trip

you can see my new 'animal friendly' trailer at
http://www.raresoaysheep.com/TravelByTruck.html - your animals will
travel in stress free comfort in this specially designed one of a kind
trailer - I will be using the white van (complete with a new engine) for
the tow vehicle - that means I have limited space for fragile animals
inside the tow vehicle

I missed the USDA ewe lamb retention program information. Could someone
please tell me where to get information on this. I'm suppose to be on the
mail list but I've only gotten one message in the past few weeks, do I
need to resubscribe?

Hi Sandy (also Hotmail users see note at end of message),

Your message to the Blackbelly list generated the infamous "suspicious
header" error and required my manual approval. However, it was buried
amongst 45 "Greetings from Abdul Komoga" and "You Have Won!" spam messages
that also hit me for manual approval every day. I accidentally deleted your
message before I could approve it (at least I thought I did, but I see it
in the archive so perhaps not).

You are still subscribed and should be receiving daily messages. Is it
possible that Juno is filtering your email all of a sudden and you need to
define the Blackbelly list on your list of friends or whitelist?

You can see an archive of all messages, including the one I sent about the
ewe lamb retention program at
http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/

Attention Hotmail users: for the past couple of days, many Hotmail
addresses have bounced, indicating that Hotmail is probably having server
problems again. You folks should also check the archives for messages that
you may have missed.
