Some sites say Granulex is an rx only medication. Is it? Do you buy it at farm supply stores or the vet? One site said the active ingredient was castor oil?
Does iodine sting? Would betadine be better? Equal?
I don't have any of these items at home... so need to head to the store... tomorrow for the farm store.
If I can find the granulex: I should irrigate the wound with a saline/iodine mix... Then spray on the Granulex... Is the wound good-to-go for how long? Do I wash it off the next day & re-apply? or ?
If I can't find granulex: I should irrigate with a saline/iodine mix... Then pack with nitrofurazone? Do I wash out the ointment the next day? or leave it for ?? days? or ??
I have injectable penn... been giving her 3 cc every other day since Monday. (So she got it on Mon & Wed so far this week.)
Should I squirt some IN the wound? The same amount? In addition to or instead of the shot in her butt?
And I have Blue Kote.
