Marion - All I can say is I don't know.  I wouldn't be the least bit
afraid to eat the eggs, but I think the Basic-H would have a very bad
effect on the oiliness of the ducks' feathers.  It is an extremely good
surfactant, and I think the ducks would lose their natural waterproofing
if they swam in the water.

The amount of Basic H is very, very tiny - one cup in a hundred gallons
of water.  You can drink it right out of the bottle (not something I'd
care to do).  It's just one of those hard decisions you have to make -
All our choices in selecting the chemicals we put into our animals
involve risk, both to ourselves and to the animals.  A miniscule amount
of Basic H in the chicken's drinking water is probably less toxic than a
roost dusted with Sevin for mite control.  I don't know Marion, I don't
guess anybody does.
