I have watched him around his girls. I figure it works like my stud and the
mares, etc. I was waiting to hear more on the guards some one was talking
about. I know goat people that have used them but I dont know if they would
even fit our little guys.

Just be careful. Carry a stick for an emergency. My experience with rams
that are struck routinely is that they will hurt you sometime in the future.
Be real aware of your position in the herd. Make sure there is not a ewe in
heat. And for sure don't get between the ram and the ewe! The American
Barbado normally seem to get agressive with age. If you like the ram and he
is doing great things for your herd, keep him! Just make sure you don't get
in his way. The worst thing is to make a pet out of a breeding ram! I
personally saw a horned ram put a 3000# bull on the ground with one blow to
the midsection, knocking the wind out the bull.

him on the butt and he will go away and do his own thing. He is apx 2.
