I had a ewe become constipated on acorns last year - the only thing that helped was Metamucil - tried mineral oil, too - but the metamucil was what really helped - gave it to her twice a day for several days to get her completely over it .. . if that's what the problem is, maybe that will help.

When standing she would bow-up attempting to defecate without success. She has had soft stools for the past week and I gave her a dose of Pepto, but now nothing. Her rectum is somewhat distended and she appears to be uncomfortable. Any ideas????
