Just as a matter of reference. Bill Hoag's Royal White Hair sheep are a Dorper/St. Croix cross. My guess is they are 5/8 St. Croix and 3/8 Dorper as they look more like St. Croix. They are a good looking pure white, long legged cross. This is FYI. They are selling very high here in Texas as are all hair sheep. It is finally the trend here since wool is worth almost nothing. Good looking polled ewes with lambs have been as high as $200/pr. The horned rams that I saw at a regular sheep auction sold for $350. I have received my ewe lamb retention funds.
