Rick,

Years ago when we bought our 1st Blackbelly ewes, we bought 1 ewe that was a mix. Her mother was St. Croix and her father was Blackbelly. I wish I had a way to send you a copy of the picture I have of FAye with the mother and twin sister. Her mother was pure white, her sister was pretty much all white with a bit of brown primarily down her back and hints of light tan on the haunches, but Faye was marked as a Blackbelly. with a bit more white across the upper back. She grew into a beautiful ewe and was very white in t he face and in what my husband refers to as the "saddle area". Her 2nd offspring was a ram who had pretty much an all white face and body with the balckbelly markings by the eyes, underneath and on the legs. So I guess it could be anything when mixing the 2 - I was just amazed how their could be twins and 1 could be St.Croix and the other could be Blackbelly. Just some information and observation.    Sue Miller
