What you just shared was NOT apparent in your first message. You asked for input. You keep misspelling GREAT PYRENEES , by the way. Did anyone witness your Pyr actually kill the sheep? Sheep people asked me to ask you this. I was NOT haranguing . I was teaching. I'm a retired teacher/coach. I told you guys I have read bizarre things re Great PYRENEES on this site that are badly misinformed. How old is the son that discovered the dog "eating" sheep? Sure he wasn't just nuzzling around? You mentioned that all the animals had to be nursed back into condition. Maybe the sheepie just kicked the bucket? That's good about the Pyr bitch not getting after the sheep for stealing her food, you might want to feed her separately. I have a couple dogs who would not tolerate that, it would just be a growl or snap, maybe even a nip, but nothing beyond that. I doubt the dog went bad. I learned from cattle, sheep, and goat people that they actually feed their dogs from the animals they slaughter. I'm not a rancher or a farmer. I do dogs. And by the way, since I know about the Working Group of dogs in the U.S. and Canada recognized by the AKC and CKC.......There are plenty of breeds of guardian dogs to choose from. People need to step up to the plate and spend "insurance" dollars on the appropriate canine of their choice tha! t has quality blood lines and breed history. Apparently from what I've been reading this past week your stupid jackasses have been killing little sheep Bambies!! Sounds like your jackasses have "gone bad" to me.............and that goes back to human judgement or lack thereof....
