Category: Behaviour Group: CVS Status: Open >Resolution: Accepted Priority: 5 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Changing workspace with hpanel does not work Initial Comment: The netwm-compatible taskbar-panel "hpanel": http://freshmeat.net/projects/hpanel/?topic_id=55 does not work. Pressing any of the workspace-icons have no effect - the workspace does not change. However, the workspace-change feauture works with the Epist-keygrabber, but doing so does not "bring along" the hpanel into the new workspace, either. I have confirmed that it works in e.g. Sawfish. --- BB CVS-version: 2003-03-18 Epist 1.0 (from openbox-2.2.3) Hpanel 0.3.2 Regards, Martin E. Nielsen [EMAIL PROTECTED] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Sean 'Shaleh' Perry (shaleh) Date: 2003-03-19 08:50 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=37132 The issue seems to be in how hpanel sends the events. I am not sure if blackbox is at fault here or if hpanel is. If you change the code in switch_desk() so that the mask sent to XSendEvent is SubstructureRedirectMask | SubstructureNotifyMask hpanel is then able to change workspaces. There is a spot or two in the hpanel code with comments like "sawfish does not implement this, so do it this way". I suspect these will also cause problems with blackbox (and other wms). The 0.70 code in CVS does not support omnipresent (sticky) windows at the moment. So right after changing workspaces the panel is left on the workspace it was loaded on. Working on that. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=428680&aid=706097&group_id=40696 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] List archives: http://asgardsrealm.net/lurker/splash/index.html Trouble?
