Not to belittle your work, but wouldn't it be simpler to make the X session depend on something else than Blackbox? I have a shell script which runs Blackbox if you're interested. When Blackbox crashes the script can restart it or try some alternatives. The rest of the applications won't have to crash too. -- Ciprian Popovici
