Category: Behaviour Group: 0.65.x >Status: Closed >Resolution: Invalid Priority: 5 Submitted By: Jan Merka (tikku) >Assigned to: Sean 'Shaleh' Perry (shaleh) Summary: Window placement in columns only Initial Comment: For a long time, I have been chasing a very annoying behaviour of blackbox: It would "suddenly" start placing new windows into one column only and when the column became full then it would cascade the windows in spite of beeing configured to use "Smart placement in rows". This is somehow induced by starting a WM application in blackbox, for example wmab or wmifinfo. Since you start a WM application, the window placement switches from row-placement to column/cascade placement. Blackbox was compiled using gcc 3.2.3 and glibc 2.3.2. Best regards, tikku ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Sean 'Shaleh' Perry (shaleh) Date: 2004-09-13 01:55 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=37132 this is not a bug. When blackbox tries to position a window it checks to make sure it will not overlap the area of the toolbar and the slit. On smaller displays, there is not room for two xterm windows side by side if you have any dock apps running. When you maximize a window, the same rules apply. If you do not like this behavior, go into the configuration menu and toggle "full maximization". ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=428680&aid=818227&group_id=40696 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] List archives: http://asgardsrealm.net/lurker/splash/index.html Trouble?
