The glibc libraries on RedHat 7.0 are unstable, too.  (Blackbox isn't the
only thing that won't compile with them in an unmodified state; XMMS 1.2.3
won't either according to its website.)  I'd suggest that you reinstall
glibc 2.1.2 (or get 2.1.3, since it's the latest stable version), but the
files for it are huge, and I don't know whether it might break your system,
since it is a "downgrade" of sorts.
