If you're looking for one distro or one type of free Unix that is better than
any other for developers, especially beginner programmers, you are fooling
yourself. They are all exactly the same from that point of view - they all
support the same C and C++ compilers, the same editors and debuggers. Make
your distro choices based on other factors, like ease of administration, or
what GUIs they support, or even their design philosophy, whatever is important
to you.
