On a related note:

I've been having troubles editing gdm sessions on my mandrake 8.0 box. for
some reason, even if i add a new entry to /etc/X11/gdm/Sessions, it gets
overriden by mandrake at restart ... and my .xsession and .xinitrc files
in my ~/ directory are being ignored when i log into my computer. i ended
up writing a script that i have to call using "source ..." after each
login, but this is a pain and should not happen ... any help?
